Arizer Solo 2 review & demo
Who's the Arizer Solo 2 for?
The Arizer Solo II is for anyone wanting excellent vapor quality, fast heat up time, long battery life, and full digital control from a portable vaporizer at a reasonable price. It’s perfect for around the house or for on the go sessions where pocketability is not a priority.
The original Solo set the standard for tasty, cool vapor while on the go, and the Solo II keeps it going with its ceramic, stainless steel and glass air path. The taste is pure and the vapor is smooth and cool, just like we’ve come to expect from Arizer.
Fast heat up time
The Solo II gets up to 390° F in just 23 seconds and to top temperature in under 30 seconds. Perfect for a quick session!
Long, long, battery life
The Solo II has one of the longest lasting batteries in a portable vaporizer that we've tested with just shy of 3 hours of battery life. This is about double the battery life that we see from most portables. And if you forget to keep your Solo II charged, it can also be used while plugged in after just 5 or so minutes of charging.
Full digital session control
The Solo II features a digital display with easy to use button controls to customize your vaporizer and personalize your session without the need for an app. We get full digital temperature control, adjustable auto-shutoff timer, adjustable beep notification, brightness control, and a belt-clip carrying case similar to the one that comes with the Arizer Air.
The Solo II comes standard with recessed heat jets in the bowl that allow a little more airflow than the original. Featuring a more powerful heater, the Solo II can keep up with even the strongest inhales and deliver consistent heat.
Arizer designed the Solo II with a slimmer profile in an oval shape that feels much nicer in your hand than the original Solo. While still not quite pocket friendly for most people the included carrying case works well.
The Solo II comes with a 2-year warranty on workmanship and defects, an industry leading 1-year warranty on the battery, and a lifetime warranty on the heating element. Like all of our products, the Solo II is covered by our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee.

I have a Mighty, Pax 3, Crafty, Airvape Legacy and IQ Miqro. This device is the perfect portable (but not particularly discreet) device for home use. It heats quickly, has fantastic battery life and is very easy to clean.
As described; all online research supported! Great device.
I was looking for an upgrade from the Pax 2. In a side by side comparison with exactly the same grind and herb there is no question that the Pax surprisingly provides a much better taste. The Arizer Solo 2 really seems to have NO taste at all and even after burning off the manufacturing oils in the unit I still seem to faintly taste something that really shouldn't be there. I'd hoped with the glass airpath and 'bowl' it would be superior but no dice. In addition, it definitely does not produce 'clouds' of any kind. I still 'like' it but it's really a 2.5-star unit.
Something is not quite right here, Dean. While the Pax is a great stealthy portable vaporizer, your Solo 2 should taste better. Creating a service ticket for you right now to discuss. Regards, Larry
The Solo II was my third vape (of four) from POTV, I got the Solo II when I decided to permanently switch over from smoking and needed a replacement for the pipe. I followed the guide based on my experience with previous vapes for ease of use, easy to clean, can go all day for me on one charge (I need a portable, not a desktop), and full temp control. The Solo II doesn't disappoint, in fact, it excels in all three departments and has been my daily driver for over two months now. It works well if you like temp stepping, stretching a stem out over a couple of session settings for a slower onset, longer-lasting feeling. If you want a faster extraction with a harder hit, running it at 400-428 will have a similar effect to combusting a full bowl with a quicker onset and faster fade. The vapor is great, only gets grassy in flavor at high temps and I don't think I experience the "burnt popcorn" taste with the Solo II. Cleaning is a simple brush or q-tip wipe off the "bowl" area of the glass stem after each session, and wipe out the oven with q-tip of iso every now and again. The glass stem can be easily deep cleaned every few days if you're using it regularly using hot water, salt, and 70%-or-higher iso. It's /by far/ the easiest portable to clean that I own, and when you're using it frequently that cleaning time becomes important. I was concerned that the glass stem would be fragile, but it's been fine for me so far as long as I treat it like any glass piece. The Solo II's only drawback for me is that it does take at least 10 minutes for anything comfortably close to decent extraction–really this is a 15-minute session vape. But it can take it, and it can take it all day. If I need a fast session with similar effects to high heat in the Arizer, I use the POTV ONE a couple of times a day. They work well together in the home if desktops aren't an option or aren't your thing.
It is so easy to keep clean. Love it!
