Vapor quality: Gets the job done

Vapor from the V3 Nano is surprisingly solid for a $50 vape. You’ll get some light flavor at the start and punchy clouds as it builds. It gets pretty harsh near the end of the session, but it packs a respectable punch along the way.

Its one session setting floats between 392℉-428℉, which is where I’d set a vape if I was looking for thick clouds and heavier effects from the start. You’ll find some pleasant notes at the very beginning of the session, but they quickly fade after a few hits.

It’s not a mind-blowing experience, but it gets the job done with quick, efficient hits that are perfect for light users or first-timers. Just a few decent pulls and you’re good. For me, a full bowl of about four or five hits is enough to hit the mark without overdoing it.

However, you can coax a stronger hit out of the V3 Nano with a simple trick. As soon as the first session ends, turn it off and right back on. That second heat-up supercharges the oven and delivers a denser, harder-hitting first draw. It skips the slow build-up and drops you straight into the thick of it when you want more intensity from the jump.

The V3 Nano starts to fall short when you want more than that. If you’re coming from a Mighty+, Lobo, or even a PAX Plus, don’t expect the same firepower or airflow.

Still, for the price, it does exactly what it’s designed to do: make decent vapor without breaking the bank.

One-trick pony

The V3 Nano runs a single setting from 392℉ to 428℉. It sits in the medium-high to high range and does a good job of fully extracting your herbs without any controls to mess with. For a vape this simple, it’s an efficient temp curve that gets the job done and leaves nothing behind.

Heat up: 30 seconds every time

The V3 Nano hits temp in 30 seconds flat. Whether it’s cold or still warm from a session, it always takes the same time to heat up. If you want to chain back-to-back sessions, expect a full 30-second wait each time.

Battery: 9 sessions per charge + USB-C

The XMAX V3 Nano’s battery holds up well for a vape this size. I was getting around 9 full sessions per charge, or about 25 minutes of total runtime. I ran back-to-back sessions with a 10-minute cooldown in between, and it died during the 10th heat-up. Not bad for something this compact.

The V3 Nano also charged to 100% via USB-C in about 90 minutes.

Easy controls: Triple-click and go

This is one of the easiest vapes to use. Just triple-click to power it on, and it starts heating up. It vibrates when it’s ready to vape and then shuts off after a three-minute session. That’s it. No temperature to set or session timers to adjust.

Solid, pocketable construction

This is a solid little vape. It’s small, cigar-shaped, and slides into nearly any pocket or purse. The glass mouthpiece is a weak point, but the body is tough. The stem can be stowed away separately, but you’ll need to keep it attached if you’ve preloaded the bowl. Just take a little care, and you’ll have no issues.

Dimensions:

  • Height: 5.25 in / 13.34 cm
  • Width: 0.80 in / 2.03 cm
  • Depth: 0.79 in / 2.01 cm

Small oven: 0.1g

The XMAX V3 Nano comes with a tight 0.1g oven. That’s smaller than what you’ll get with the PAX Mini or POTV ONE. You can squeeze in 0.15g if you really pack it, but 0.1g was the sweet spot in our tests.

Most users will finish a full bowl in a single session. Heavier hitters will likely need to reload once or twice to get where they want to be. This one’s built for microdosing or short, focused sessions.

Minor complaint

There’s not much to complain about. It’s a $50 vape. But if we’re being picky, it does have a bit of a whistle when you take a light draw, and it gets a little loud if you pull hard. You can quiet it down by covering the intake holes on the side, but it’s something you’ll notice if you’re trying to keep it discreet.

Warranty

The XMAX V3 Nano dry herb vaporizer comes with a 1-year limited warranty on workmanship and manufacturing defects. You will need your device’s serial number to be eligible for warranty work, which can be located on a sticker on the top of the box. As one of the leading retailers of dry herb vapes, vaporizers sold at Planet of the Vapes are also covered by our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee.

For best results

  • Use a medium grind
  • Pack the oven to the very top until there’s a small overflowing mound
  • Insert the mouthpiece to tamp the herbs into place
  • Wait a few seconds before your first hit to let the vapor build
  • Vapor starts light and gets thicker as the session progresses

Pro tip: Want to boost that first hit? Let it heat up like normal. When it vibrates, turn it off, then right back on again. That second heat cycle will charge the oven for a punchier first draw.

Easy to clean

Cleaning the V3 Nano is simple. Separate the glass stem from the metal filter, then remove the silicone o-rings from the filter. Wipe the oven and then soak all parts except the o-rings in isopropyl alcohol. Rinse, dry, and then reassemble. Run a quick burnoff before your next session to clear out any leftover residue.

Be sure to wipe out the oven after each session to keep it cleaner for longer.

Who’s the XMAX V3 Nano for?

The XMAX V3 Nano is for anyone looking for a low-cost way to vaporize their herbs. It’s a reliable option for light users who want something small, discreet, and easy to use without the high upfront cost. If you don’t need anything fancy and just want decent vapor without spending more than $50, this one gets it done.

If you're looking for a $50 vape with multiple temperatures and an adjustable oven, check out the XMAX Oont Pro!

Who’s the XMAX V3 Nano not for?

The XMAX V3 Nano is not for those chasing flavor or clouds. It vapes at the higher temperatures where flavor fades and quickly turns harsh, and its small 0.1g oven performs well but won’t fill a room with clouds. It’s a sipper, not a ripper.

Conclusion

The XMAX V3 Nano is an effective vaporizer, and at just $50, it’s hard to complain. It’s not built to impress or push boundaries. It’s built to work. It won’t blow you away with heavy hits or vibrant flavor, but it does make it easy to ditch the lighter and switch to something cleaner without the hassle. There’s no learning curve, no extras to deal with, just a simple way to vape your herbs. It’s enough to get you across the finish line, and at this price, that’s exactly what it needs to do.
