Works with or without the Bluetooth app
Access temperature controls with the Crafty+ single power button. Out of the box, it comes with three perfectly-set on-board temperature settings, 356° F (180° C), 383° F (195° C), and 410° F (210° C), that will work for most without the smartphone app. Load up the app, and dial in precise temperatures, and other settings like the shutoff timer, brightness, and boost mode/super boost.

Don't waste your money.
This is the second Crafty that I've purchased. I lost the first one in a move. It's not even close to the quality of the one I bought 5 years ago. I will likely never even use it again. Complete waste of 250 bucks. I guess I should've gone with the Mighty or another brand altogether. This one barely holds a charge longer than 20 minutes. Maybe the one I got was defective, but it's junk. No two ways about it.

Hi TJ, You didn't waste 250.00. We don't want you to have a vaporizer that you are not happy with. You are free to return it for either an exchange for something else entirely, a store credit, or a full refund. Your choice on that. In regards to the battery life, if you haven't done this yet, I'd like you to put your vape on the charger and leave it there for a 4.5-hour conditioning charge even if your vape indicates that it is fully charged before that time is up. You only need to do this extended charge once. Also, please know that it takes about 3 to 4 full charge cycles for the battery to stabilize and perform up to spec. After doing the above mentioned extended charge along with 3 to 4 additional normal charges, please get back to me here: https://www.planetofthevapes.com/pages/contact-us ... with the total on-time minutes (heat up time + vaping time, not the number of sessions) that you get after a full charge before the vape shuts down due to a depleted battery along with the temp that you are vaping at. So far I really enjoy the Crafty+. The draw is nice and smooth and the double filters are easy to keep clean. Order and delivery was also quick and easy.
Convenient and Consistent, but not for me
So I'm not a stranger to vaping but I only recently started looking for a portable option to better cut combustion out of my routine. I've been an MFLB user for 10+ years and had grown accustomed to using it at home with a power adapter because it's more reliable than the batteries, and I wanted something that I could use discreetly on the go. You can't do any research on vaporizers without seeing endless praise for S&B and the Mighty, and the consensus seemed to be that the Crafty+ is just a smaller version of the Mighty with less battery life. Wanting the best of the best, I went for this and within a weekend I found myself pretty disappointed for a couple of reasons. 1. Plastic Smell/Taste - S&B sells the medical grade plastic used to make the Mighty and Crafty, and I saw very few reviews talking about the material affecting the taste. Right out of the box I could smell the plastic and it reminded me of something you'd smell in a hospital (I remember one review comparing it to the smell of their old PS2, and honestly that checks out), and shame on me but I didn't do a burn off before trying it out and the first hit tasted so much like the medical plastic I almost submitted the request to refund right then and there. But I did a 5 minute burn off - no change, followed by a 10 minute burn off - little to no change. I determined the source to be the cooling unit (specifically the o-rings had the strongest smell) so I took it apart for a 15 minute iso-soak and that took care of the bulk of it. But even after multiple burn offs and the iso soak when I used it, I still tasted that plastic and I think that's just the materials and the vapor path and there isn't much else to be done to make it better. I know that glass mouthpieces are made for it but reviews say they don't fit well and when you're already paying a premium price for this vape, I was frustrated to be looking to alternative means to get better flavor. I may just be sensitive to the materials since I've only ever known MFLB, but it was still a turn off. 2. Throat irritation - Again, this may just be me and being more sensitive to the vaporizer itself and no one else may experience the Crafty this way, but in my few sessions with this, I found that even after using the Crafty just at the lowest default temp setting, my throat would be sore for hours after I put it away. I couldn't soothe it with cold water or tea or anything. My theory is that the vaporizer doesn't have any significant draw resistance, which was originally a selling point to me because I wanted to be able to share it with others and I didn't want to coach anybody through a draw technique. However I think the lack of draw resistance means the vapor is hitting your throat and lungs that much more intensely and so it left me feeling it for far longer than I ever have vaping in the past. Obviously this didn't improve when I went to the higher temp settings and again, left me pretty frustrated. I couldn't in good conscience share this with others knowing that they may too experience this afterburn in the throat feeling and it's ultimately what deterred me for giving it any more time. I opted for a return after spending a weekend with the thing. I will say that I was also using the dosing capsule for every session so maybe that had something to do with these negatives, but when it all comes with the S&B package at a premium price, I was expecting the best and felt it wasn't quite it. This vape is still a quality product though and there's plenty of reasons why so many others sing its praises. The consistency of the herb following a session was perfect, no stirring required. The heat up time and the use of the vaporizer is as easy as it gets, and it is perfect in terms of portability as well. The battery life is a down side as most other reviews say, I was able to get 3 sessions worth before it died on me. I also don't like how the light is constantly flashing as the unit is charging, it's very distracting and when the unit can already switch between red, green, and blue light, I'm not sure why they just didn't use the colors to indicate the charge progress. Again, you don't need to look hard for positive reviews on this product but I'd be surprised if more people aren't experiencing my issues with this vape but the product is so convenient and consistent in the vapor production that they never consider a different option that provides more flavorful and less harsh vapor. Ultimately not for me, but at the very least I'm glad I tried it out and a huge shout out to POTV on their 100% satisfaction guaranteed policy.
Storz & Bickel sucks
I bought this vape after seeing all the great reviews, boy was that a mistake.The first unit lasted maybe a month then the trouble started. The unit would sometimes charge after I had to plug it in multiple times because it wouldn't connect right most of the times. So after I contacted planet of the vapes and they told me I had to deal with S&B directly. What a pain that was. I sent the unit back and they sent me a new unit andddd it has the exact same problem as the one before. So now I will have to register the new device and send it back again. I am hoping the 3rd unit actually works when and if I get it. S&B customer service sucks to deal with. I love paying shipping fees to send a defective unit back only to receive a defective unit in return.

One thing you may want to check before contacting them. Have you tried another USB cable to help rule out a cable issue? Also, try plugging it into a different power source.
