This replacement that I purchased has issues...it doesn't hold a charge well, causes my mod to do weird things, and also auto shuts off. The battery that came with my mod works fine, batteries look identical, not sure why the replacement is flawed

I was disappointed to receive a third-party Chinese knockoff of the battery I ordered -- NOT the actual DaVinci 18350 battery shown on the website. The replacement battery seems to work okay, but I wasn't happy with the "bait and switch." Who knows if this will burst into flames and cause a fire in my apartment? Planet of the Vapes needs to post products for sale more accurately...

Hi Jerry, A few things we need to clear up here Jerry. What you received was not a knock-off. All manufacturers source their batteries from other suppliers. Due to the recent electronic shortages, all electronic manufacturers including DaVinci are sourcing their batteries where they can find them as long as it meets their specifications. The batteries I received when I purchased this item were not DaVinci branded items. One did come in a DaVinci box, but the capacity rating was 900mAh. The original battery for my Miqro is 1200mAh. The other two (I ordered 3) came in unmarked boxes and were a no-name brand rated at 800mAh. Not worth the premium I paid here since I could have gotten no-name brand at other online stores for half the price. I returned all three. The return process was easy enough.

To help put this into context, due to the worldwide shortage of products, especially electronic parts, manufactures are scrambling to find not only chips to put into their vaporizers but batteries as well. All manufactures are experiencing this and as such, they are trying to source their batteries wherever they can find them so there will be changes over time. The battery that you receive in one vape may be different than a battery that you would receive in another, even on the same brand and model. And while previous batteries that were used prior to these supply issues may have been branded, you may see vapes with non-branded batteries being shipped and installed in them. The bottom line here is if manufactures waited to ship their product until they had the standard batteries that they used before, they may not be able to ship their product at all, or at the very least, not ship for a very long time.
