Room for Improvement
It helps keep your hand from getting hot, that’s nice. But the sleeve makes it harder to keep the micro-USB charger in place, and it likes to slip upward in my hand and partially cover the air intake. It has a holder for tools but only the tamping rod fits, I was hoping to get the rod and the nail in it. Luckily I got it with a free gift card. If I had paid for it I wouldn’t be happy, but as a freebie it’s fine.
Perfect fit must have
So glad I purchased this as the Starry does get hot. This fits nice and snug, keeps hands from burning and the cost is decent.
Nice case, fits well, but has one issue.
This case is really nice, well made and fits very well. The only issue I have with it is the USB cord won't plug into it good enough to stay in place while the case is on. I already bought one case and tried cutting the hole slightly larger with an Exacto knife but now the case won't stay in place and it's ruined. So I bought another case and tried using a smaller form factor USB cable with it and it still has the same problem. Needless to say, I'm not using the case for it anymore and that is a bit disappointing.
Believe in the sleeve
I love the sleeve, keeps my tool close by, and keeps my vape cooler when holding in my hand also. I have nothing negative thing to say about it!
A must have for your Starry V3
Order this with your Starry purchase...you will be glad you did. The Starry does get surprisingly hot, and this gives you plenty of safe grip area for avoiding the hot spots. The little feature for holding the tamper/scraper is worth it alone. I wish it had a spot for the brush, but you can hang the brush on on the tamper. The negatives are nits... If the cutouts for the vent holes and the USB were a tiny bit larger, it wouldn't matter so much that the sleeve tends to slide around a tiny bit. I am able to stick a standard USB connector into the unit and charge with the sleeve on, because it is thin, but depending on your USB connector, you might have to do a bit of trimming around the USB hole. The tabs that keep the sleeve from sliding up too far are pretty weak. You need to check to make sure you aren't covering some air inlet holes if it slides up too far, or tap it on a hard surface to confirm it is seated properly. Really minor negatives.
