Which one has better vapor quality?

Both vaporizers produce dense, flavorful vapor that pushes portable performance close to desktop territory. They're fast, powerful, and reward long, confident draws.

The Tinymight 2 delivers what many consider the benchmark for portable convection vapor. Flavor is exceptional, especially early on in the session, and its heater responds beautifully to your draw speed. Slow sips stay flavorful, while harder pulls produce impressively thick clouds.

The Frolic is just as strong with a little more punch. Limelight built it around the same convection-first philosophy, but added a touch of hybrid heating to make sessions a little more consistent and powerful. Clouds are consistently thick and dense throughout the session, so you don't have to think much about your technique.

Both are exceptional. If you want the purest convection experience possible, that’s a bit more flavorful, the Tinymight 2 is the way to go. If you want equally massive vapor with a little more consistency and oomph from start to finish, I'd lean toward the Frolic.

Heating technology: True convection vs. hybrid

The Tinymight 2 is a true full convection vaporizer. Your herbs cook almost entirely from hot air that passes through the bowl and dishes out outstanding flavor.

The Frolic uses a convection-dominant heater with a touch of hybrid heating layered on top. In practice, it still behaves much like a convection vape, but that little bit of added conduction helps smooth out the extraction and keeps vapor production more consistent throughout longer sessions.

The difference isn't huge, but experienced users will notice it, and it’s worth considering if you value those subtle nuances.

Both also have handy stir tools, but the Tinymight 2 benefits more from a quick stir midway through the bowl to keep its full-convection extraction even. The Frolic is more consistent throughout the session, so I don't find the need to stir at all.

Loading: Adjustable oven vs. larger bowl

The Tinymight 2 offers one of my favorite features for lighter users: an adjustable oven. Push the cooling unit for tiny microdoses or larger sessions. Both vapes can deliver solid vapor with tiny amounts, but the Tinymight 2 can shrink the bowl down around a small load, which makes those microdoses feel a little more satisfying and complete.

The Frolic’s bowl is fixed. Its bowl holds roughly 0.25 to 0.3 grams and favors larger sessions. It still handles smaller loads surprisingly well, but it's happiest with a fuller pack where it can really stretch its legs.

Airflow: Both are great, but the Frolic is wide open and adjustable

Both vaporizers breathe well, but the Frolic offers noticeably more flexibility. Its adjustable airflow lets you tailor the draw resistance to your liking, whether you want a wide-open rip or a slightly tighter pull. Wide-open feels effortless, while tightened draws can feel very close to roll-your-owns.

The Tinymight 2 already has very comfortable airflow, but what you get is what you get. It responds very well to both slow sips and fast pulls, but the feel of the draw remains the same.

Which one has better controls?

The Frolic keeps things simple with a full digital display and precise controls. Temperature, battery level, session timer, and everything else are displayed clearly. Temperature is controlled with two buttons, down to a single degree, and the switch between sessions and on-demand is quick and easy.

The Tinymight 2 takes a much simpler approach. Instead of entering an exact temperature, you adjust a numbered dial from 1 through 10. It works well once you find your preferred settings, but there's definitely more trial and error involved. The switch between session and on-demand modes isn’t very intuitive at first, but it gets easier with practice.

I'd give the edge to the Frolic for everyday usability. Its controls are familiar, while the Tinymight 2 may require more time in the user manual, especially when it’s time to check the battery level.

Session & On-demand modes

Thankfully, neither forces you to choose. Both vaporizers include excellent Session and On-demand modes and execute them extremely well, with true on-demand speed in either mode.

The Tinymight 2 built much of its reputation on On-demand performance. It heats almost instantly, delivers an enormous hit, and shuts back down immediately.

The Frolic is just as quick, and I actually found myself using Session mode more often thanks to its larger battery. It can stay on and heated up for quite some time.

Battery life: Both are removable, but the Frolic lasts longer

This is probably the biggest difference between the two. The Frolic runs on a removable 21700 battery and lasts much longer. In our tests at 390°F / 199 °C, it produced roughly 13 sessions on a single charge and maintained full performance until empty. Higher temperatures shortened battery life.

The Tinymight 2 uses a removable 18650 battery, which keeps the device smaller but also limits runtime. Expect roughly five bowls per battery, depending on your temperature and vaping style.

Fortunately, both batteries are removable, so carrying spares is easy.

If you're a heavy user who doesn't want to swap batteries constantly, the Frolic is the clear winner.

Build quality: Different priorities

Both feel exceptionally well-made.

The Tinymight 2 combines aluminum with walnut wood for one of the nicest-looking portable vaporizers available. It's compact, sturdy, and slips into a pocket much more easily than the Frolic, especially if you remove the glass stem for travel. You’ll just need to make sure it’s well protected.

The Frolic feels more industrial. It's larger, heavier, and built around performance instead of portability, and has no fragile pieces. Everything feels solid, and the larger body makes room for the bigger battery and cooling system.

The Tinymight 2 is easier to carry. The Frolic feels purpose-built for heavy daily use.

Which one heats up faster?

They're both incredibly quick. The Frolic consistently reached temperature in around five seconds, even at higher temperatures and low battery.

The Tinymight 2 typically heats between five and ten seconds, depending on your temperature setting and whether you're starting from cold or warm.

The difference isn't dramatic, but the Frolic’s consistency makes it an attractive choice for those time-sensitive sessions.

Similar price, different priorities

The Frolic costs $399, while the Tinymight 2 starts at $350 (other variants reach nearly $500).

These are both premium vaporizers with premium price tags. The Tinymight 2 puts portability first without sacrificing session quality, but battery performance and consistency suffer. The Frolic prioritizes battery life, consistency, airflow, and all-day heavy use for $50 more.

Frolic vs. Tinymight 2: Which should you buy?

If portability matters most, and the $50 price difference is meaningful, I'd recommend the Tinymight 2. It delivers incredible convection vapor in a package that's easier to carry, while the adjustable oven makes it equally satisfying for microdoses and full sessions.

If your priority is raw performance, the Frolic gets my vote. Battery life is dramatically better, airflow is customizable, sessions are more consistent, and it delivers some of the biggest hits you'll find from any portable vaporizer.
