Charge it
Plug it in before anything else. Good battery habits start here. Use the included USB-C cable and connect to a wall outlet.
Watch the five lights underneath the power button. They show the battery level as it charges. One light means 20%. Five means fully juiced. When the lights stop blinking, you're good to go.
XMAX says to charge it for six hours before your first session. Not sure if that's totally necessary, but it’s up to you. In our tests, a full charge took a little over two hours.
Controls: One button for everything
Click the button three times to power on. The Oont Pro heats up to your last set temperature automatically.
Hold the button to scroll through the presets. It cycles from low to high. Release to select the temperature.

The temperatures are as follows:
5. 428°F (220°C)
4. 410°F (210°C)
3. 392°F (200°C)
2. 374°F (190°C)
1. 356°F (180°C)
Run a burnoff
Before your first session, run a burnoff to clear out any factory leftovers. Once it’s fully charged, turn the Oont Pro on, set it to level five, and let it run until it shuts off on its own.

The stem and oven
The glass stem and the oven are the two main parts to pay attention to. Push the stem in to clear the oven and tuck it away. Slide it out to open the chamber and make room for a fresh load.
Flip the Oont Pro over and pop the oven door open with your fingernail or the included stir tool. That’s where the herbs go.

Grind and pack
The Oont Pro handles both coarse and medium grinds. Use whatever grinder you’ve got to break up your herbs.
Pull the stem out and open the oven about a third of the way. Fill it to the top, then give it a light press with the stir tool to settle the herbs. Top off any extra space.
Close the oven door and press the stem down just enough to lock it in. No need to jam it. A gentle push does the trick. Then, pull it back up slightly to leave a small gap between the herbs and the stem.
Turn it on and set the temp
Click the button three times to power on. Press and hold to cycle through the temps, then release on setting three.
The lights will blink while it heats up.

Soft, slow pulls
Once it vibrates, it’s ready. The Oont Pro works best with steady sips, not hard draws.
Start with a slow, gentle pull to warm things up. Wait a few seconds, then take a few more soft hits. Let it build.
It ramps up slowly, but give it a minute and you’ll hit that sweet spot.
Stirring is optional
You don’t need to stir, but it helps if you want to squeeze out every last bit.
When the vapor starts to slow, open the oven and give the herbs a quick swirl. Tamp it down, close it up, and fire it up again.
Clean up when you’re finished
Practice good vaping hygiene and brush out the oven while it’s still warm. It keeps herbs from sticking and saves you from gunk buildup later.
Tip: Open the oven and push the mouthpiece down to pop the herbs.
