The Max Cooling Stem cools the vapor more than the long straight beaded stem imo and seems to take a longer time to look dirty. The vapor is as cool if not cooler than using a glass **** dry. I'd recommend this if you like to turn up the temps because a longer airpath cools at the cost of flavor. It's great to clear a bowl at max temp and still have cool vapor. I'd likely go with the shorter stem if I prioritized flavor but am very happy with the product and POTV Customer service. It was on my doorstep in a couple days.

If you have the solo 2 don't get this unless you want 2nd degree burns had to put medical tape and a rubber top off a Plug n Play cart on the tip to not burn my lips when ripping my solo really bummed
