It’s a hard-hitting vape that solidifies itself as Arizer’s strongest portable option.

The Tinymight 2 is a full convection powerhouse that thrives with long, sustained draws. It hits hard and is one of the few vaporizers that nail both Session and On-demand modes in a compact design.

So, which vaporizer deserves a spot in your collection? Let’s dive deeper into these two standout devices and compare their key features, performance, and overall value to help you make the best choice.

Cut to the Chase - Which Vaporizer Should I Get?

The Solo 3 is Arizer’s flagship vaporizer, and it comes with great features like Session and On-demand modes, bubbler-ready features, and more. It’s built like a tank, and we recommend it for at-home use.

Get the Tinymight 2 if you want the strongest full convection vaporizer. It sports one of the best Session and On-demand systems out there and hits harder than most portable vaporizers on the market. It’s compact enough to take anywhere and slips easily inside most pockets and purses. The Tinymight 2 is the most expensive of the two, but it could easily be the only portable vape you need.

Arizer Solo 3 vs Tinymight 2: Quick summary

Similarities

Both the Arizer Solo 3 and the Tinymight 2 stand out as two of the few portable dry herb vaporizers that feature both Session and On-demand modes. They share modern features like USB-C charging, quick heat-up times, powerful vapor, and multiple oven sizes.

    Bottom line

Get the Solo 3 for slow and steady sessions that pack a hot punch. Get the Tinymight 2 for a full convection vape that specializes in lung-busting hits.

    Big rippers: Hybrid vs Convection

These vapes are some of the hardest-hitting portables out right now. The Solo 3 showcases a refined, hybrid mix of conduction and convection heat that Arizer has built its success on. It’s quickly become one of the punchiest vapes out right now, with thicker, more potent sessions than what we’re used to from the brand. It puts the pedal to the metal with sessions that you can push to the edge of combustion with roastier flavors.

The Tinymight 2 produces similar results with a full convection heating system that only vapes your herbs as you inhale. Flavors are at the forefront, but it packs enough horsepower to rip it as you push it. It’s easily the best convection portable vape with great airflow, rich, potent vapor, and insanely strong performance.

The biggest distinction here is the sip-it vs rip-it approach. The Solo 3 has a much tighter draw that requires a slower, steadier hit, even with some added airflow improvements. There’s a sweet spot where there's little restriction which lies around a steady, medium sip. Pull too hard, and it’ll fight against you. If you’re a lighter user and short sips are more your style, then you’ll be happy with what it offers.

The Tinymight 2 is a little more forgiving. Its airflow is open and comfortable, and I can pull it gently or rip it hard without too much pushback. You’ll want a long, sustained hit, though. For beginners, I recommend a steady sip of at least five seconds to start and then longer hits or stronger pulls once you get a feel for it.

Both vapes are strong and produce effective sessions. If you’re a lighter user who doesn't need full, lung-busting hits, then the Solo 3 is more than enough. I would suggest the Tinymight 2 to the heavier users who want to fill their lungs up as much as possible.

    The Session: Chatty vs Medicated

Sessions with the Tinymight 2 are lighter and more uplifting. They deliver heady, chatty effects without the roastiness or overwhelming heat. Vapor is smooth, and the herbs finish with a light tan color. You can push the session further and reach those more medicated effects by turning up the dial without getting too close to combustion.

The Solo 3 hangs out on the opposite side of the spectrum with sessions that push to the edge. It runs hotter and produces more sedative, medicated effects with darker herbs at the finish. The Solo 3’s sessions feel heavier overall but can be dialed back for lighter vapor if you lower the temperature by 50℉ to 80℉ degrees.

Both have Session and On-demand Modes

Dual vaping modes are a sweet feature to have. Chill with an extended session with Session Mode or take a hit, set it down, and come back to it later with On-demand Mode. They both have their uses, and I often switch between the two depending on how I feel.

The Solo 3 is Arizer’s first vape to have both, and it’s definitely a nice-to-have. Its On-demand Mode is not like the traditional mode where you hold the button in to activate it and then let go when you’re done. Here, you press it once, it heats up, and then holds the temperature anywhere from 5 to 25 seconds depending on where you set it (default is 15 seconds). It’s On-demand style, but acts more like Session Mode with a really short timer. Session Mode is similar but with a longer timer that ranges anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes, with 10 being the default.

The Tinymight 2 takes the same approach but with fewer limitations. We’ll talk about heat-up times later, but the Tinymight 2 is as “on-demand” as it gets. It’ll reach temperature in just a few seconds, and hold it until you release the power button, which can be anywhere from a few seconds or a full minute. There’s no timer. Session Mode does the same thing but with a single click instead of a press and hold, and it will sit there at temperature until you turn it off or the battery dies.

    Tinymight 2 heats up faster

The Tinymight 2 is one of the fastest vapes on the market. From cold, this vape reaches max temperature in around 10 seconds, with even quicker times when it's already warm. It really takes “on-demand” to heart.

The Solo 3 is a bit slower, but not by much. It takes around 15 seconds to hit 390℉ and no more than 20 seconds to hit the highest temperature. It’s not slow by any means. It’s actually one of the fastest out there. Just not as quick as the Tinymight 2.

Solo 3 has two different oven sizes

The Solo 3 is the first Arizer portable to offer a secondary bowl size for both the stem and water pipe adapter attachments. The standard Arizer stem holds around 0.1 gram of ground herbs, while the new XL stems pack in twice as much. This stem also comes with an extra hole in the screen for greater airflow.

Tinymight 2 has an adjustable oven

The Tinymight 2 comes with a standard glass stem and oven that can shrink down or expand in size. Slide the cooling unit up or down for microdoses or large loads of up to 0.3g of ground herbs. It can technically hold more, but we recommend you top out at that point.

Solo 3 is ready for bubblers

Great news for bubbler fans! The Arizer Solo 3 portable vaporizer comes ready to connect to a tabletop bubbler with two 14mm water pipe adapters: one standard-sized and one XL. Airflow with the XL adapter is comfortable enough to enjoy a slow sip session with your rig, but you won’t be ripping hard with it.

The Tinymight 2 has a water pipe adapter option, and it excels, but you’ll have to pick that up separately.

Arizer Solo 3 vs Tinymight 2 Vaporizer Comparison Solo 3 on a Bubbler

Solo 3 has full digital controls. Tinymight 2 is more minimalist

The Solo 3 offers a clean interface, multiple buttons, and all of the settings and tweaks you could want. Choose any temperature from 122°F / 50°C - 428°F / 220°C and tweak a number of settings like session timer, beep volume, screen brightness, and more.

It has it all, but it’s a bit of a pain to navigate. It takes two different button-press segments to turn on and start and then different button gestures to access the different menus. Like most things with a learning curve, it takes a bit of practice. It’s just not the most intuitive.

Arizer Solo 3 vs Tinymight 2 Vaporizer Comparison Solo 3 Controls

The Tinymight 2 has a single button, a temperature dial, and, in addition to the two session modes, one customizable setting (Stealth Mode). Turning it on into either vaping mode requires a triple-click for On-demand or a triple-click and ‘hold’ for Session Mode. Temperature is controlled by a dial from 1 to 10. Stealth Mode, which turns off the LED light, requires a combination of button clicks and turns of the temperature dial to activate.

Overall, the controls are easier to master on the Tinymight 2.

    Tinymight 2 has a removable battery…

With a second battery at the ready, the Tinymight 2 can have pretty much infinite battery life. Along with USB-C charging, the Tinymight 2 comes with a user-replaceable battery that you can quickly and easily swap to skip the charge times altogether. Convection vaporizers are the most taxing on the battery, and they don’t last as long as other types, so you’ll definitely want a spare one nearby. I get around eight sessions per charge before it’s ready to swap.

Arizer Solo 3 vs Tinymight 2 Vaporizer Comparison Tinymight 2 Removeable Battery

But the Solo 3 battery lasts for over an hour

You can’t swap out the Arizer Solo 3’s battery, but that’s fine. It’s one of the longest-lasting out there. Each session guarantees at least an hour of runtime, or around 18 sessions per charge, and utilizes USB-C passthrough charging to vape while you fill up. It’ll charge from dead to 20% in under five minutes, or you can plug it in and jump right into a session. It’s one of my favorite features in a vape, and I wish all of them had it.

The Solo 3 is not pocketable, but the Tinymight 2 is

The Arizer Solo 3 is a big vape. Bigger than the previous Solo models. It’s more of an at-home portable desktop, in a way. It’s thick, heavy, and won’t fit in any pocket. At least not comfortably. It fits comfortably in the hand, but it’s impossible to conceal in any way, so you’ll want a travel case or bag and a place to sit or set up shop with this one.

The Tinymight 2 strikes a nice balance between sturdiness and portability. It’s a bit heavy, but it’ll slip inside most pockets, bags, or purses comfortably without weighing you down and fits comfortably in the hand.

The Solo 3 is much easier to clean

You’ll have to clean these vapes at some point, and the Arizer Solo 3 is the easiest to clean. Soak your dirty glass stems in isopropyl alcohol, rinse, and dry, and then wipe down the oven. That’s it.

The Tinymight 2 portable vaporizer is similar, but you’ll need to disassemble the cooling unit for a thorough cleanse. It’s not hard, but compared to the Solo 3, it’s extensive. Check out our Tinymight 2 Cleaning and Maintenance Guide for the full rundown.

    Tinymight 2 is expensive

Price tags matter and the Tinymight 2 dry herb vaporizer sits high at $349 ($425 for the Purple Heart edition). It’s one of the best vaporizers out there and totally worth it, but it’s well out of reach for many.

The Solo 3 is Arizer’s most expensive vaporizer, at $279. It’s a more attractive buy compared to the Tinymight 2, but it’s still in the mid- to high-end price range.

    Warranties

The Arizer Solo 3 vaporizer comes with a 2-year warranty on workmanship and defects, a 1-year warranty on the battery, and a lifetime warranty on the heating element. (Glass parts/accessories not included).
