**The MV1 vaporizer has some features only accessible via a smartphone app. On November 15th, 2019, Apple removed all vaporizer apps from its store. Apps that were downloaded before removal will still work. Android users are not affected. Please read our blog post to learn more about the app removal, and how it affects specific vaporizers.**
The Ghost MV1 is an excellent vaporizer with a lot to offer, but it does have a bit of a learning curve. Thankfully, Ghost’s excellent smartphone app can take the guesswork and interpretation out of the equation by letting you set temperatures, manage modes, and even juggle multiple vaporizers.
Download the app
If you’re just opening your Ghost MV1, you want to make sure to charge it up all the way before your first use. While that’s going, let’s download the app, which is available from the iTunes Store for iOS devices, or the Google Play store for Android devices.
Pairing
Once your MV1 is charged and ready to go, open the app and select “Pair a new vape.” Follow the instructions presented in the app to pair your MV1. You’ll need to hold down both buttons for a few seconds to put the vaporizer into pairing mode, and then it will show up in the app.
The dashboard
The first page in your Ghost app is the dashboard, which gives you all the information about your session at a glance. You can swipe left to turn it up to a higher heat setting, or right to move to lower heat. It also shows your device’s current battery life in the upper left corner, a button that lets you shop for Ghost MV1 accessories, and your account info in the upper right corner. If you tap the MV1 icon in the upper left corner, you can manage multiple vapes.
Vape temp
The next page lets you adjust the MV1’s custom heat settings to your liking. It’s a great way to fine tune your favorite temperature. Simply select one of the custom heat settings you want to change, and then use the dial to set the temperature. You can press the toggle on the left side of the screen to switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius.
Lock vape
If you press the “Lock Vape” button in the lower right corner, a dialogue will pop up asking you to confirm your decision. If you lock the MV1 vaporizer, you won’t be able to use it again until you unlock it through the app, preventing anyone else from using it without your knowledge or permission, and even lock it behind your phone’s fingerprint sensor.
