The Puffco Peak is a serious powerhouse and consistently kicks out huge clouds, hit after hit. After a couple years on the market, we’ve gathered a number of useful tips to get the most out of our Peak. Follow along with this guide and breathe new life into your sessions!
Puffco Peak Tips and Tricks: Turn it off when you’re finished
Turn your Peak off when you're finished for the day. This might be the easiest tip to incorporate, but it’s also the most important. The Peak doesn’t have an auto shutoff timer, so it’ll slowly drain until you manually shut it down, or until it’s as dead as a doornail. Take a mental note and be sure to power it off when you’re done for the day.
Cold starts and hot loading
On some days, I look for gentle, flavorful hits with minimal coughing and throat irritation. On others, I want thick, potent clouds that’ll rock me in a hit or two. Luckily, the Peak can deliver on both fronts.
For a flavorful ride, preload your Peak and start out on the lower two temperature settings (Blue/Green). The clouds are subtle, but the hits bring supreme flavor that can still pack a heady punch. If you’re a hot loading, torch and banger type of user, do the exact opposite! Set it up at the highest temp setting (White) and fire it up. Once it’s ready to go, place your load and hit it! This is the way to go for quick, full extractions.
Swab it out after each hit
Cleaning your rigs isn’t always fun, but it’s important to take the necessary steps to keep your Peak fresh and easy on the eyes. One of the simplest ways to do this is by wiping out the oven after each hit. While it’s still warm, take a dry cotton swab and soak up any leftover residue. A simple, and easy way to keep your bowl in great shape.
Be careful with the atomizer
The Puffco Peak is a fantastic concentrate rig, but it does come with a few caveats. The atomizers have been known to be very fragile, and easy to break if you’re not careful enough. It may be necessary to take it apart for a deep cleaning, but any damage to the ceramic bowl or plate will make your Peak obsolete. Be extra careful when disassembling or traveling with it.
Don't load too much
Another way to screw up your Peak is by overloading it. If you load a massive amount, it’ll splash all around the bowl, as well as leak into and under the atomizer. It can leave you with a huge mess, and even damage the electronics. A rice-grain size amount is a great place to start. Remember, you can always add more later!
Personalize and accessorize
Puffco has come out with a number of flashy and useful accessories since its release back in 2018. For the frequent traveler, the travel glass is a no-brainer. It allows you to seal off the mouthpiece for spill-free travel wherever you go. How about some stylish, colored glass? We offer different colored glass bubblers so you can add a touch of personality to your Peak.
We also recommend upgrading from the standard carb cap to the ball cap. This cap allows for more directional airflow that’ll help maximize performance.
