Overall, once I figured out some glitches, it is a fine entry level vape so exactly what I was looking for.
Be careful with this X Max II Pro device, especially if you are new to vaping--the lack of instruction and documentation is something to be really concerned about. I bought this device because I read vaping flower would be healthier than smoking during Covid 19. I read many of the reviews at this site and other sites, and someone suggested this device to me instead of higher priced alternatives. I started using it on an every day basis on 2 May. On 23 May after three weeks of consistent usage, I started developing this scary sensation in my chest (I had been consuming via combustion on a very regular basis for 19 years and I have NEVER had a chest or lung issue). I stopped using the device immediately and the chest sensation went away in 48 hours. I have been very frustrated with the little documentation that came with the device, especially the instructions for proper use. After reading up further on the device in the last week, I have learned that many people “sterilize” it by running it on its hottest cycle of 428 deg F for at least three sessions to “burn off” any thing remaining from the manufacturing process. This was never in the instructions. This would have been very helpful to know before consuming via the device. I hate to think which chemicals I was inhaling because I didn't know to perform this step. Also, there is little instruction on how to properly and safely use the device. I had been filling up the chamber about half to 3/4 full before using. Is this enough? How fine does the flower have to be? I did not know any of this because it wasn't in the instructions. What are the advantages or disadvantages of consuming on any of the temperature levels? I have no idea, it is not in the instructions. How do I know when the flower has expired and can no longer be consumed? I have no idea, it's not in the instructions. The bottom line is that I'm not sure, despite all the glowing recommendations, this device is safe for human usage. I do not trust this device not to give me lung or chest issues and during Covid 19, that is REALLY scary.
We did not find the included instructions particularly helpful either, Bob, so we compiled our own. I'll create a service ticket for you right now and send them off to you right away. In regards to that burn-off to get rid of any residual manufacturing oils, we suggest to do that with every vaporizer, not just the V2 Pro. With that said,, we've sold thousands of V2 Pros over the years and we've never had any health or safety issues reported. I don’t know what happened, I’ve just been using it at home for the last couple weeks since I bought it but all of a sudden the button that turns it on and adjusts temperature stopped working completely. I know it’s charged, the light turns on when I plug it in, and the button even clicks when I press it; but no response on the vape itself. Hopefully I can get a refund but idk how to do that. PS: when it was working it was a great budget vape, definitely recommend.

I never received the grinder that was supposed to be included with this purchase. I also have tried to contact the site multiple times and have gotten no response. The vape is nice but a little complicated to get the hang of selecting temperatures, turning the vape on/off, and charging. It seems that multiple questions and reviews have the same confusion. I have removed the safety tag on the battery, I used it before giving it an extended charge, there was little to no pull so I couldn't get a full hit. I then read that its best to charge it for a full 6 hours first but when I plug it in to charge it does not light up at all. I do like this vape a lot I just wish that I received my full order and was not so worried about the vape not working properly. I'm hoping I can get in contact with someone soon.

It looks like we got your grinder situation squared away for you but I'd like to address the other issues that you have in regards to your V2 Pro. Going to contact your right away on that. It seems as it is durable with very little parts to go wrong, but I haven't had for long enough I too honestly evaluate that. The cost of that though it'scally featureless with not very good controls. Also, a charge only gives you a single chamber worth of use. So my idea for a portable vape. The good news though is because of being basic, it uses just a standard removable battery cell. So you can cheaply by more and have them with you for extended use. For the price though, there are definitely better units to buy.
Hi Chris, In regards to the battery life, if you haven't done this yet, I'd like you to put your vape on the charger and leave it there for 4.5 hours even if your vape indicates that it is fully charged before that time is up. You only need to do this extended charge once. Also, please know that it takes about 3 to 4 full charge cycles for the battery to stabilize and perform up to spec. Also, if you’ve been using a phone brick to charge your vape, try using your computers USB port instead. After doing the above mentioned extended charge along with 3 to 4 additional normal charges, please get back to me with the total on-time minutes (heat up time + vaping time, not the number of sessions) that you get after a full charge before the vape shuts down due to a depleted battery along with the temp that you are vaping at.
