Huge heat exchanger
The key to the Crafty+ vaporizer’s performance and faster heat up is it’s patented hybrid heat exchanger. It combines convection and conduction heat to deliver stable temperatures, for accurate and flavorful vaping without any fuss, and is built.
Smooth cool vapor
The Crafty+ works with any grinder, and with an integrated cooling unit and open airflow, the vapor is smooth, cool and full of vapor.
Perfect pocket size
The Crafty+ is a pocketable, portable vape that’s smaller than most iPhones/Androids, and about half the size of it's big brother, the Mighty vaporizer.
Solid battery life
The Crafty+ delivers 40 minutes of vaporization, or five to six sessions, on a full charge. It charges in around two hours via micro-USB. Battery life is preserved by a two-minute auto-shutoff timer that works flawlessly, by resetting every time you press a button or take a hit.
If you’re looking for the same quality with unlimited power, check out the Storz & Bickel Volcano vaporizer.
2 year warranty + guarantee
We are authorized dealers of the Crafty Plus vaporizer, so if you decide to buy one from us, it will come with a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty against defects. The warranty is extendable to three years with registration. As with Everything purchased from Planet Of The Vapes, you are also covered by our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee.
Works with or without the Bluetooth app
Access temperature controls with the Crafty+ single power button. Out of the box, it comes with three perfectly-set on-board temperature settings, 356° F (180° C), 383° F (195° C), and 410° F (210° C), that will work for most without the smartphone app. Load up the app, and dial in precise temperatures, and other settings like the shutoff timer, brightness, and boost mode/super boost.
The Crafty+ runs on 100-240 V power and will work anywhere in the world. We sell the version with a US charger. If you live outside of the US you only need a plug adapter. You can also charged via any USB port with the included cable.

These used to be really good vaporizers but no longer - they are wholly unreliable and a rip-off for $207 (on sale). Storz-Bickel must have made some poor purchasing decisions relating to reliability of charging mostly. I've had Craftys for many years but the newer ones, though nicely redesigned with more battery capacity and quicker preheating, are awful in terms of failure. I recently bought two, one has never charged well and is therefore unusable. The other so far has worked well. I have two others about two years old that also no longer charge. Same is true of their Mighty, reliability is a thing of the past making these entirely overpriced. I have three dead ones right now. I've owned plenty of Storz-Bickel products over the past 14+ years - 2 Volcanos, about six Mighty, eight Crafty and one. It's really disappointing to see a company struggle like this, and particularly as they are the highest priced units on the market.
I am so sorry to hear about the experiences that you are having with your Crafty's and Mighty's, Jake. This has not been our experience, however. We've been offering S&B products for sale for over 11 years now and if anything, the Crafty is actually more reliable than it ever has been. Check out how many 5 star reviews that each of these vapes have received here: https://www.planetofthevapes.com/products/crafty-plus-vaporizer https://www.planetofthevapes.com/products/mighty-vaporizer-by-storz-bickel If yours are still under warranty, please contact me here so that we can get these taken care of for you: https://www.planetofthevapes.com/pages/contact-us With best regards, Larry
This is a good vape with smooth vapor and an easy-to-pocket profile. Cleaning is a bit of a headache, but easier once you get it down. My main complaint is that the power button fails after about a year of use. I replaced my first one under warranty but they indicated you can only replace it once for the power button issue. It's a known issue and one they're not really standing behind. I'm moving on from this brand given the cost and durability issues. There are far too many other good options out there at this price point!
Hi Chris, You said, "I replaced my first one under warranty but they indicated you can only replace it once for the power button issue." We would never say such a thing. Is it possible that you either heard this from another dealer or from S&B directly? Reaching out to you in a service ticket for you right now to discuss. Talk to you soon, Larry
After 7 months of use, I have enjoyed the performance of the crafty plus, until the charging port started to not work. Due to poor battery life, the charging port can take some abuse if using crafty plus as main smoking device. Not what you would hope for, after the expense of the vape. It’s a real pain when you think your device is charging, but after 2 hrs you come back to a still dead battery.
Let's address this under warranty, Collin. Creating a service ticket for you right now. Talk to you soon, Larry
The unit is great, but if you do more than two sessions a day, the battery will only last one year. I've gone through two and they both died at the one-year buy mark. At least my old Davinci from 2015 still works.
This has not been our experience, James. We've seen Crafty batteries last for multiple years even when being used multiple times a day. One of the things that affect this is the temp that is being used when vaporizing. Higher temps put a larger strain on the batteries. The other thing that can help to increase battery life is to make sure to recharge them before they are totally discharged. Aim to recharge when they have about a 15% charge left in them. With best regards, Larry
This review is long overdue but since I've had my Crafty+ for over six months I figured it could help those on the fence who are concerned about battery life and reliability. I purchased my Crafty+ in October 2020 after my first two failed attempts to switch from combustion to vaping. MFLB being my first, which was great for what it was. And then a Dynavap M, which was rarely satisfying and inconsistent (for me, I know many love them). I knew this third attempt had to count and from my research, the Mighty was still king so that was my answer. With all the many online retailers (at the time), I wasn't sure who to buy it from until I found POTV. I could tell immediately by their intuitive website, guides, prices, and reviews that these people really care ...and come on, name a cooler company name. After more research on this site, I landed on the Crafty+ based on its more compact size, the fact that it had recently been updated, and reviews that the vapor quality was on par with the Mighty. I ordered and within three days it was delivered. I was immediately blown away at how easily it was to get massive clouds, like nothing I had experienced before with vaping. This was not wispy or required mastering a technique like my previous vapes. It did require some experimenting with packing the dosing caps to get the best results. As many do, I hit a wall with it a couple of days in where I was getting those satisfying hits and was worried it was the honeymoon phase ending and I'd be stuck with a device that I wasn't 100% satisfied with. So I reached out to Mike at POTV who talked me off the edge of combustion with some helpful tips and encouragement. I then tried loading the chamber without the caps and it was like someone removed a filter – slightly better taste but much bigger and satisfying clouds. Loading the oven halfway with a Liquid Pad on top has been my standard for at-home use ever since, however, I do appreciate the tidiness of the dosing caps for on-the-go. As for battery life, I get about 5-7 sessions (each about 5-6 great hits each) before I need to plug it in. Honestly, once you get into the rhythm of knowing that after your 5th or 6th session to plug it in, it's very easy to stay ahead of. I use a 12w Apple plug and it takes about 90 minutes. I don't miss the native app one bit since I found a $2 app called Webble that works like a charm with my iPhone and iPad and makes it very easy to tweak settings. Although, after a lot of testing my settings, the stock temps for 1, 2, and 3 work perfectly and are very efficient when temp stepping. My ABV is ALWAYS medium brown after stepping from temp 1 to 2. When I use my water adapter, I start at temp 2 and end on temp 3 resulting in ABV that looks like chocolate shavings, very dark. As most of us do, I got VAS with the uncertainty of the "vape ban" looming and ordered another well-known device from POTV, knowing their outstanding return policy. There was no comparison to my Crafty+ in regards to vapor production and ease of use so I returned the other device with even more appreciation for my Crafty, S&B, and POTV. If I had to give a con, I would say it doesn't always suit my micro-dosing needs. Those times where I just want one or two hits and keep moving. However, no one device does everything so I'm still looking for a micro-dosing companion (not a replacement) to my Crafty+. I don't think anything in its price point can top it so it feels good to know I have the mothership to whichever companion device I land on. If you're on the fence about the Crafty+, don't be. You will be beyond satisfied with it and the service from POTV.
Hi Conelius, Great review. In regards to mirco-dosing, I only take few hits at a time and the Crafty+ fills that need perfectly for me. What I do is use the dosing caps only. Right before I take my second hit, I'll turn off the Crafty to help remove some of that residual heat and then immediately remove the cap from the vape to be used later. Used in this way, one cap lasts me about 3.5 sessions. One caveat. Don't remove the cap by dumping it into your hand. It stays pretty hot for about 10 to 15 seconds. With best regards, and please stay safe out there, Larry
